Fitted new Sito Plus to PX and up jetted(changed from a BE3 and 94 to a BE5 and 100).  At normal riding speeds difference is great, picks up and pulls easily.  However, when I push it (no not that kind of push it!!!!!!!!) it appears to choke, tighten up, splutter, stall (call it whatever you like) when it gets to around 57mph.  Tried adjusting the mixture as per the manual and other snippets from the forum but its still the same. Plug looks ok no signs of over heating or running too rich.  Any ideas???

Change the atomiser back to a BE3 and just change the main jet to about 98 then take it out for a blast. When at full throttle pull out the choke. If no 4 stroking (coughing/spluttering) go 1 size higher. Repeat the process until this happens. When it does the jetting should be about right. Don't forget to check the plug colour, it should be a nice light brown colour.

If you have the lml blue air filter still in it put in bin and fit an original vespa one, they are very restrictive then have a look at jetting

Check your fuel flow with a full tank you should be looking at about 400 to 600cc per min if you have less than 300cc you will not get it to jet in

As carl says but put a be3 out off a p200 the lml jets are marked the same but flow less in the case of the lml be3 or for the be4 is richer on the lml than the delorto
I would also have a look at the air corrector jet it is the top of the stack you should have a 120 i would go the next size up

If after all that is done and it still wont go have a look at the timeing and coil some of the indian coils can stop dead at about 6000 rpm like a rev limiter.

That should keep you going for a bit

Good luck Cheers Al
