Exhaust/Tyre Clearances

hoping to fit new exhaust this weekend. Held new exhaust upto scoot and it does not appear to have much clearance (around about 5mm) between it and the rear tyre. Is there a recommended minimum distance that the exhaust should be away from the tyre as I don't fancy it melting on me as I go!!. For info it is a simonini exhaust on a px.

I know nothing of wepsas - but would point out that as the tyre heats up it expands - and when laiden with rider and pillion it also will expand
Maybe the exhaust can be " fettled " to allow better clearance ( for fettled read - stood on ! )

You could space it with some washers i would be looking for about 10mm gap between the tyre and pipe
Check your plug once you have it fitted
